building a computer for a friendly, computer-illiterate neighbor who just wants to watch her korean equivalence of netflix. she spent 350 on an hp, but she said it's slow, so she's returning it.

i imagine 400 is overkill, so builds that go under are fine. no peripherals are necessary, but i wouldn't mind a suggestion for a wireless mouse with reliable usage at 10 ft+ distances.

If compact is an factor a i3 nuc is perfect. Handles 1080p transcoding fine.
Have a look at logitech k400. It's perfect if you just hook it up behind the TV.
