Just received my new parts today and in them are my gtx 480 and my motherboard B150M-D2V. Thing is, I find the gtx really big compared to the mATX..
(Un)Fortunately, sender mistook my motherboard by sending me the DDR3 version so now have the choice of getting the DDR4 version or getting a refund. What u guys think? Will the gpu be too heavy for little slot of the B150M? Or should I get another one?

Thanks :)

I don't know man, it looks so big compared to the mATX, sorry if it was a dumb question. I know the motherboards are made for this but the B150M being lighter than the 480 kind of make me uncomfortable at the idea of the first one holding the second one :D

It also gets held up partially by the screws you put in on the rear facing plate

yeah of course! Dumb doubt but I've always had ATX format and the mATX are so small at first sight! Especially compared to the new gpus! (last pc was build like 6 years ago so it was the complete opposite, big strong motherboard and little light gpus).

Thank you guys for your answers I will stick with the B150M then.
Have a nice day/evening/whatever your time :)

Motherboards are very strong. You will be fine :)

As for the DDR3/DDR4 thing...are you talking about the VRAM on the graphics card? If so, that doesn't matter and has nothing to do with your motherboard compatibility.

Sorry if I don't quite get it. Basically, you're fine.

Nah there's two version of the B150M-D2V, the regular one B150M-D2V, and the DDR3 version B150M-D2V DDR3, which doesn't support DDR4, so the guy who has prepared my order just sent me the wrong version unfortunately.

I called the support to be sure and they said it is a mistake.. So I have to wait at least one or two more weeks to finally enjoy a new pc :(

Oh, that is super lame! I am sorry this has happened to you. I guess this is the joy of buying parts right? At least when it's all finally there...it will be worth it.

Sure thing!! I'm little upset cause as i said my current pc may be 6 years old+ and I didnt play any recent and beautiful game since a long time! I think the last one was bf3 with low settings. So after all those years I've watched ads and people enjoying wonderfully beautiful games and as soon as I can afford a pc and enjoy I can't even start building it! This is not a big deal, it is just really frustrating when you open all the boxes and you realize the shit :D
