My advice would be to go with the lowest common denominator

Depending on your processor, the AM3+ platform is a few years out dated, so you are probably best off spending as little as possible, IE if you can get away with a micro-ATX model for $60, do it, save the other $200+ and put that towards a more serious upgrade (IE, Ryzen, FX, 6000/7000 series I7/I5)
