really just want 1080p(maybe 1440p later) 60fps on games. games from AAA titles to less intensive shit like LoL, WoW, cs:go and shit.
budget is $750 but lower the better. don't need an ssd or a heatsink. idk what case to pick feel free to suggest anything. Also for the sake of longevity do you think its worth to spend an extra ~$100 to OC? i feel like my goals are pretty simple and i shouldnt need a 6600k and a z170 or whatever. but honestly i dont know shit.
total says $688.34 but its more like $655.56 which is still an over estimate by maybe like $20-30

I honestly think you will see benefit from 16gb of RAM for $40 more but that's up to you

Added the Corsair 200r case, it is on special with a 20mir and a free corsair fan included (on newegg), which gives you 3 fans out of the box
Switched to an Antec PSU for cost savings, still a great PSU

The only other thing you might consider is waiting for Ryzen to release to see if it is priced competitively

i like that case. and i see, i guess i should wait for ryzen. im not particularly in a huuge rush but id like to get this within the next month. definitely before march just because my newegg giftcard ends then, but i can always buy other shit with it like the case and psu. do the new cpus work with the mentioned mobo or is that unknown?

Should come out next month.
If you are talking amd ryzen. Then no there will be all new chipsets out so you would need a new mobo.

Best things to buy ahead of time are just case, psu, hard drive

Wait Ryzen and decide between Intel and AMD unlocked processors. Your wallet will thank you later on
