Hello Everyone, I am more familiar with business laptops due to work. I need a new home laptop nothing for gaming. Who is good nowadays? Asus/Lenovo were always my top picks previously years ago. I am just into the business market now were we get Dell Latitudes and HP elitebooks, way out of the home laptop game.

Budget is $600 USD
Don't need touch screen
15.6 inch is probably fine, nothing bigger I would say 14-15.6 inches.

Need some input for a friend of mine. I would greatly appreciate your feedback, everyday use, office products, surfing, netflix, your occasional browser game. More concerned about durability, and reliability. They need alot of storage for music / photos / video, so although I would love to get them a 256 SSD, I think 1 TB regular drive its going to have to be...

Let me know what you recommend, thanks!

Look at the Asus Zenbooks

13.3-14" models are really light and thin

I have had mine for 3 years, it is the 7th or 8th laptop I have had and hands down the best I have ever had in terms of performance, fit and finish, batter life, etc

Nice thats good price, thanks. I'll have to check if they have a microcenter near them. That's what I was pretty much looking for them i5 processor, 8 GB ram, 1 TB storage, was hoping for 1080p display but for $400 if they can get that...worth the trade off.

Comes with DVD drive which you can replace with a 256 SSD or something as well :D

If you're willing to go open box...
