So I am currently using hp dv6 which I been using it for almost six years now and it's about to break down any day now.
I been looking for a new laptop and honestly my budget is around 1000-1500 as long as the price is worth the product.
Now I am not a gamer so I don't need the latest graphics card or the best gaming specs but I still play games once in a while (usually little older ones) and that's why I still want a graphic card for my laptop (also I want this laptop to last me five years so I might play games in the future).
Most of my laptop use would for work/office, music, watching videos and netflix and occasionally gaming here and there. I would like the laptop be anywhere from 13-15 inches for screen. Obviously I would like a fast processor but hard drive is a big deal for me. I know laptops these days don't have much hard drive but I need at least 200+GB (preferrably around 500) with fast processor.
One laptop I been recommended by my brother is the latest HP Omen. With $1300 I can get all the specs I wanted if I decide to purchase HP Omen. However I looked at some of the reviews ad especially here on reddit, seems like it has some bad reviews. It seems like it is more prone to damages and breaking down due to engineering and structure used for the laptop. My current hp lasted almost six years but my fan broke just after one year of using and I'm not sure what the reputation with hp is but I wasn't pleased.
My brother also isn't a big fan of HP Omen and he thinks I should just spend extra money for Razorblade since I will be using the laptop for (hopefully) five years. He also tells me that it is very well engineered and is made with good materials.
I would just like some input please and thank you.
