Finally to the point where I want my pc to boot up faster... currently using a 1TB 7200rpm standard HDD....

I have the MSI Z77A-GD55 motherboard...

Looking for the fastest SSD I can use for under $150...

Found this but not sure my mobo supports it?

Corsair Force MP500 M.2 2280 240GB PCI-E 3.0X4 INTERNAL SSD CSSD-F240GBMP500

Normally $170 but with promo code I can get it for $137 shipped.

Thanks in advance...

Well that sucks... Read/Write speed on the one you linked is significantly slower.

Is that the fastest my mobo supports?

Samsung MZ-750500BW
500gb model with the same specs for around 135...

If that's the fastest I can get then I guess I'll settle with that.

Anyone suggest the best program to migrate from HDD to ssd? I've never done it before... I would generally just reinstall windows but I just don't feel like doing that unless I have to.

you also wouldnt wanna migrate hdd to ssd shit either,
take out hdd, have only ssd plugged in and install fresh windows on it.
Plug back HDD afterwards.

you shouldnt fill up SSD with unnecessary things, just have OS, games that benefit from fast loads (d3/poe/wow etc).
All other shit like music, videos, etc.etc. go in HDD

you can total clone/migrate the system.
its very rare that issues arise.
