CPU cooler is garbage, might as well use stock...swap it out for a Hyper 212, 212+, 212 Evo, whatever, its the best cooler for the price so long as you don't plan to push overclocks to the limits

You probably want a DVD drive, if for no other reason than to install windows

Not a big fan of most Kingston RAM kits, generally speaking I have had much better experiences using Gskill

You have no power supply, generally buying something in the 600-700w range is the most cost effective route to take, I have used Antec, Corsair, Rosewill, and many others but quality and value are very subjective even within the same brand

You have spent $400cad on a processor but the graphics card is the lower end of the midrange, you would be better off with an I5 and a better graphics card, assuming your main use is gaming. If you are mainly doing video editing and gaming is a side deal, keep the i7 and the weaker card

No comment on the case since it has no information

your motherboard is MicroATX, you should really go with a full ATX motherboard, they are a bit larger, tend to have more features, ports, slots, and better heatsinks (generally) and the only reason to go microATX is to use a microATX case, which is not the best option for bigger graphics cards, expansion slots, or airflow

no need for dvd drive these days unless you ripping your collection for htpc or have old software you cant download or get on usb

matx boards are fine if he is using smaller case pretty much all same features just less slots
