Asus GTX 1060 Strix 6 GB OC
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
16GB 2400 DDR4 by Corsair
650W bequiet PSU

What I am mainly playing: Wow, Heroes, OW, D3

For those games, I think you'll be fine at 1440p. Youll be able to ultra/60 fps them. Other, newer, more demanding games, you'll have to dial back @ 1440 to get 60 frames or 30 fps at ultra.

just recommend getting a fairly large screen, 27 inch min. i had a 25 inch 1440p and i didn't like it too much, went to 32.

The Asus PB277Q is a TN panel...at least from the Newegg specs.

/e ASUS also lists it as a TN panel, rather than IPS.

This is only useful if OP is familiar with the differences between TN and IPS and has a preference. It's very hard to find a 1440p ips at a decent price.

These are some of the cheaper ips panels i found

you can read up on ips vs tn here and decide if the price difference is worth it for you:

Otherwise, i have no experience with the monitor you posted, but it looks like it will be a good choice for the money.

IPS looks better than TN. IPS also has a greater viewing angle.

/e These are all IPS monitors, 27" or bigger, 2560 x 1440 resolution...

/ee As Rapture has said...I would also choose one of these... the ASUS can pivot, the BenQ can't. Other than that these are both good choices at the price.
Of the two, I would choose the ASUS.

Thanks for ya patience. Guess I will take a closer look in a store to see the difference in colours live between the two panel types before deciding :-)

The better quality 8bit tn panels are underrated.

I've read a lot about the newer 8 bit TNs, but I still haven't seen a side-by-side next to an IPS in person. Really interested.
