ASUS VG248QE 270 - 275$ on amazon

ASUS MG248Q $251 at microcenter

so ASUS VG248QE is old

the ASUS MG248Q is newer and i think was suppose to replace the ASUS VG248QE

I heard good and bad reviews about both and a small percentage say the coloring or something is crap on both but I also here great reviews so its like who do you believe lol?

other than that everything is the same both 1ms both 144hz both 24" BUT the design, pivot options of the monitor, and menu settings/customization are a lot better on the new model ASUS MG248Q

I'm a little paranoid about buying the newer ASUS MG248Q becuz of some things I have heard about it and the fact its cheaper than the older one

Does anyone have any intel on which is better or if both are a bad buy or is the newer ASUS MG248Q just a better monitor and price?

I'd get a new Zowie (BenQ) 144hz if I was going to get one again.

out of my price range and you are all talking about other monitors i just wanted to know if anyone knew anything about the color on these monitors being bad cuz of that reddit post and other comments i heard about it

i own the Asus monitor with Asus MG248Q X-rite i1 Pro + LaCie TFTCentral 20 80 100 90 83 User Mode calibrated settings works just fine. doesnt look washed up at all

I am using Asus MG248Q and I do enjoy the monitor.

VG248QE is old and has poor colors no matter what you do.

The MG248Q is newer and probably somehow has better colors, but it's still a 6 bit TN panel. So... yeah. Not great.

It's quite good & $50 less than the two you're looking at.
