If I were to piece together a system on like a $600 budget could I easily upgrade it later when I had more money to allocate to it?

Theoretically speaking, we could put together something with an i5 and shit gpu that will run most games competitively played, but would be a gpu upgrade away from aaa games at good fps and graphics.

E: Competitive games such as csgo, dota, lol, rocket league, sc2 and perhaps even overwatch

E: This is actually decent for 700 bucks, just did this at 5min
Possibly a few tweaks available

The smart move, is just save up until you have about $1000, then build a new computer from scratch.
Building now and when you "have more money" ends up costing more, in the long run.

not really
leap frog upgrading is pretty much best cost effective way but does need initial build or certain usable parts in the beginning
