How are Xotic Pc prebuilt machines for gaming?

Stuff like skyrim HD, No mans sky, Crysis.

because one of their computers prebuilt with a few changes is cheaper and easier then if i build myself.

is the one im contemplating, upgrading it to an I7.

typically prebuilts use subpar brands/hardware. For the price of the prebuilt you can typically build a faster PC yourself, And end up with better warranties & Higher quality parts.

So your budget is roughly 1400?~

Do you really need the i7?

You can pick up win10 from somewhere like kinguin for $30 for a legit copy.

Add in a dvd drive if you want. Can save some money getting the I5 instead.

when i try to launch it on my laptop it says my laptop has .5 vm, recomends 12vm. and they wont load properly which sucks because i prefer computer controls over ps4 for a game like this.

my laptop is like 4 years old now and cant play all the new games, so want to update to a great desktop

Well they are lying, no game uses 12 gigs of vram, only 1 consumer grade card even has that much vram and it's over 1000 dollars (if the titan is even considered consumer grade  ).
You would be fine with 2 Gigs of vram, better with 3-4 and overkilling with 6 or 8.

No man's sky runs on my ghetto build that cost me 160 dollars.
i3 550 and gtx 750 ti 2 gb.

Anyway the price on this PC is not very good, even with all the extras thrown in.
Usually prebuilts are a bad deal, because lets face it, they have to make profit and there just isn't that big of a discount in buying legitimate bulk PC parts. (nor is it easy for any company to buy so many components in bulk so as to provide them a big enough discount to where they can offer a product cheaper than if you did it yourself)

However this one is pretty good i ts on sale today

https://www.cyberpowerpc.com/system/Gamer_Infinity_8800_Pro

you actually cant build this one cheaper without some serious deal hunting (there is a code norush for 5% off and 20 dollar rebate) and you can upgrade to the 500gig ssd for frizzle.
the price should be 1200 dollars after all is said and done (after rebate and 5% off)
