I've had this computer for almost 5 years now and it is still lightning fast. However, it seems that every time I decide I want to get a new game it tells me it cannot run it because my GPU driver is too old.

I open up Nvidia Experience that supposedly keeps my GPU up to date... but it doesn't ever detect the newest drivers that seem to be always available on Nvidia's website.

The problem I have always lies in manually downloading and installing new drivers. It always gives me fits since I upgraded to a second card in SLI.

Knowing that the 770's are getting out of date I am wanting to go back to a single card. Question is, what one to run with that isn't going to take me a step back or break the bank.

Interested in Nvidia cards only please. Anything on a good sell would be excellent.

Thanks in advance.

Really depends on what you're willing to pay.

1060/1070 will run most if not all games @ high / 1080p atm.

You could also try using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) To remove the drivers completely, Then try installing the newest driver.

Preferably Sub $300.... unless it's a killer deal.

Thanks

Sold out but doesn't seem like enough upgrade for the price... could be wrong.

Might just fork out the extra $100 and get an 8GB GTX 1070...

What about this card? I think it looks like the best bang for the buck.

I had no luck finding any killer deals on a GTX 1080.

The 1060, all day.
Sub-300$ even for a 6GB.

If there is any way at all to get the GTX 1070...then get it. Also...down the road, the 1060 can not be used in SLI.

So the Zotac 1070 is good to get?

I see a lot of good reviews but I have never owned any cards but MSI/ASUS.

Getting out of my comfort zone spending 400+ for a brand I've never used.
