I am not sure what my current monitor is (not at home)
but it was a standard issue Dell Monitor that came with my alienware a few years ago.

I was browsing Amazon and I saw there were recommendations from Twitch streamers for gaming/streaming.

One of them recommends a monitor which brings up my question..
What differences do better monitors provide?
My current monitor runs my pc resolution @ 1920x1080
Will better monitors just make it a higher resolution?
Will things actually look better?
Will it use less , more, or neither of my GPU or memory?

some monitors have ips panels which has a better picture vs tn panels
also they may have better refresh rates or resolution which will use more of your gpu

i have a 1050p monitor that I am thinking of upgrading but u have a 1080p which should be good unless u really need more detail

What exactly is a refresh rate?
I know what a resolution is and I don't really see the point in having a bigger resolution.
Ive never noticed my monitor itself lag or anything

basically like frames per second your monitor can update new images
i think alot of people will notice very small differences from say 60 which is probably what you have to 144 hertz but if you have a 60 hertz monitor you will be limited to 60 fps in games

yes 60 is the max if you have a 60 hertz monitor
the game might be at a higher fps but you will only see 60 fps max
