Hi, guys I am a pro videographer and I am looking to upgrade my current setup. I need something to be able to work smoothly with high quality 4k footage and I want fast renders.

Budget: 2.000 CAD
Prebuild or self assembling: Self assembling
Which Games and/or programs will you be using: Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects.
Planned time until purchase: 1-2 weeks
What size do you prefer, MiniITX, MicroATX, Mid or Full Tower: does not really matter
Do you need an Operating System: Yes windows 10 (might hackintosh in the near future if newer nvidia cards become supported on osx)
How much storage do you prefer: At least 1TB
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Would be nice to have thunderbolt ports!
Is wireless card needed: No
Do you plan on overclocking: No
Do you need a monitor?(size, paneltype, hz): No, not for now, unless there is a really good deal on a nice large screen (over 24inch)
Do you need Mouse or Keyboard: No
Got any parts yourself currently: No

I saved about 20% on a build to my brother last year in Denmark. Like 6600k, gtx 970.

The Xeon is better pure performance wise. Tho the 6800k has better single core performance for regular desktop use as well.
The motherboard is one of very few motherboards out there supporting Thunderbolt 3. Asus Deluxe x99 can as well, but would need an pcie card.
Its only 750GB SSD storage. Otherwise i would get over your budget.

What's your current setup?
And your planned purchase time makes it perfect for black friday and cyber monday.

As a pc guy, i am ashamed to tell you that I am curently working on my gf's 2013 27inch imac At least its the top model and I upgraded the ram so it does an ok job.

I use my girlfriends macbook pro as a temporary plex media server. shhhh

But diff nothing wrong with doing editing on an IMAC. its kinda overpriced hardware wise. But it sure is top notch quality tho.
What u gonna do about monitor with the upcoming system?

And i also upgraded the RAM in hers 4 to 16GB.

Ye the imac hardware is ok and the big plus is the 27 inch screen.

For now i am going to use a 2 screen setup with a 1080p 24 inch asus and a 23 inch lg screen. That was my setup on my old gaming pc. Ill wait for a good deal for a lager screen..

Telling yoy its wise to wait till jan.
If there a flop it will drive price down an this tech anyways cause new hardware.
basically waiting 45 days for same deal and chance on a huge boost.

maybe buy a few things now if you cant pass it up liek ssd's/psu etc but wait on mobo/cpu/ram

ugh, you really should get a 4k IPS monitor when possible.
