which one do you guys recommend?
compared to most parts all motherboards have bad reviews

intel

also is it better to get matching motherboard/gpu
asus/asus
gigabyte/gigabyte
or no difference?

and why do most people not recommend evga motherboards?

nothing wrong with evga so i dont know where thats coming from.
matching is irrelevant aside from aesthetics. brands mean nothing though.

msi is also fine so is asrock if on a budget

All companies put out low end and high end boards so its a matter of what your spending and your needs.

Matter of luck too, sometimes even good products can arrive DOA.
Evga had pretty bad mobo when they first started making them, but idk how they're doing now. Probably better, but I think they lost a lot of consumers and trust after that mistake and ppl just stick to the usual brands like Asus, gigabyte, msi, etc.

Motherboards have bad reviews because of how easy it might be to have a problem with a motherboard. It has more points of failure than any other piece of hardware.
Thus you see the most negative reviews of a product. (and negative reviews on newegg and such are already skewed towards negative, since more people come to leave a review if there is a problem, than those who leave a review if they have an entirely good experience)

Generally speaking, I would ignore motherboard reviews (unless there are a large amount of negative feedback for the same thing, indicating some actual board flaw) and just make sure it has a 3 year warranty.
many asrock boards come with just 1 year warranty, so i often avoid them if possible.

What Rapture said is right. They most vocal people are the ones who are unhappy. A lot of people get one with a DoA RAM slot and assume the mobo is just cheap. Not really the case these days.
