I like to game and stream, right now I have a msi b85m gaming motherboard. Would a different motherboard improve anything?

Not you might be slighty better audio etc. But pure performance wouldn't change.

i7 4790k gskill sniper 1600 ram and i just bought a 1070

Uhh well then you an OC on a Z mobo. Actually gaining performance.
Depends on your CPU cooler as well tho.
