Current rigg is. i5 2400. Gtx 760. 8gigs. 250gig ssd.

Im debating on a 1070 or 1080... I only play at 1080p and would like close 144 htz.. I play wow/csgo/dota/rust. And i stream a few days aweek... I plan on a cpu upgrade soon..

1070 in that case. Even a 1060 would do this perfectly good

Yeah that's what I'm turning towards.. 1080 is usually for pushing higher res?

Yes. 4K 60Hz or 1440p 144Hz/Ultra 60Hz

The 1080 is just stronger than the 1070 by a little bit. I don't want you to necessarily assume the 1080 has a different market than the 1070, as they are very close in performance with each other!
Both are good for higher resolutions. But both are also equally good for 1080p @ 144 Hz. Though either are total overkill for 1080p 60 hz.
