Hey guys, friend has a budget of ~$800 and wants to finally get a decent gaming setup. He has peripherals and stuff already, just needs a rig.
Some notes:
-He wants small form factor, he kinda really likes how this thermaltake case looks.
-All items from Amazon, cause of prime shipping to Hawaii.
-Plays mostly F2P's, Mobas (LOL, Dota), and might dip into some of the AAA's like GTA n stuff.
-Will not be doing any video editing or stuff of that sort.
-Doesn't need a lot of storage, only really plays his above mentioned games.

If your not overclocking use the stock cooler.

Get 2x 4gb sticks of ram vs 1 8gb stick so you can utilize the duo channel feature.

buy windows 10 key from kinguin and save 60$. Just need to make a windows 10 iso from here.

Use extra to get better ram then second harddrive.

I think 1x8GB is fine, but your call. What better RAM? Not sure what that means. You can't go over 2133MHz without a Z170 mobo, and the HyperX is fine RAM.


Agree on the stock cooler. Waste of money on a budget. I say cut it, get the cheaper Windows 10 key from Kinguin, and then try to get a RX 480 or 6GB 1060.

That motherboard can't use DDR3.

Thought you were saying you cant go above 2133 without skylake

Didn't even click his list, tbh.

Apparently that motherboard, only supports 2133Mhz RAM.
