http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16883229364

That's the computer my friend got and wants to upgrade his video card to be able to handle WoW:Legion raiding on ultimate graphics with no fps issues.

He currently has this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130826

He's looking for an upgrade as he has some lag issues on high settings when in group play with major animations.

Budjet: 400$, but looking to spend least amount possible and still be able to raid on ultimate settings.

Grab either:
470
480 -> 10% more powerful than 470
1060 -> about 10-15% more powerful than 480
1070 -> about 50-60% more powerful than 1060
listed in order from least powerful to most. I would think the 470 will handle it, but you can go up to a 1070 based on your budget. they (gtx 1070) are also shipping with gears 4 codes right now (i have personally sold 2 of these codes for about 45 dollars each after shipping/ebay fees) which you can sell for quite a good chunk or keep.

this link has all of them searched and ordered by pricing.

A 1060 should be sufficient for ultra 1080p 60fps.
I would recommend like a 35$ cooler so the cpu could be oc. But sadly the chipset is lowend on the mobo.

Just curious he is wondering would that be able to work with the PSU he has? He is also curious about the 35$ cooler you mentioned if you'd be willing to post it so I can e-mail it to him.

No it's still the same PSU he only changed the video card in it, but he needs a better one now.

Yeah the psu is more than enough. I would just recommend a hyper 212 evo. Buy still you can't oc on that motherboard.

You should find out what quality that psu is tho. But if it runs fine with the 660, it's fine for a 1060.

A small ssd would do wonders! 60-80$ class
And ofc windows 10 instead of 8 if he still uses that.

He said it's a Thermaltake TR2-700W ATX 12V 2.2 and he's just making sure the PSU has the connector that fits the GFX card. If you need anymore info on the PSU just ask I can get it from him.

/e
He doesn't really care about overclocking he's just looking to run WoW on optimal settings using the GeForce Experience game optimizer for max settings.

Wow is really cpu intensive when in areas will a large number of entity. So overclocking would actually help performance.
As for psu i will do so research on later currently on the phone.
