So it seems my old 560ti finally failed, and I figure its time to upgrade most of parts anyways

Looking for a new computer on a 500$ budget as I only really play WoW, and overwatch

My corsair case (cant remember the model) is still in perfect condition, and my XFX550W psu is still good which can be used to check some of the cost, also dont need new OS

Shipping: Canada, A1B 3M5

I think you better budget a bit higher, since...Canada. This assumes you use the case and power supply also.

You can check your motherboard with a program called Speccy. its free.

Well unless you want to purchase a new motherboard, new cpu and new ram, (which you dont have the budget for)
You can grab an i5 3570k off ebay if you want for about 200 dollars, then grab a new gpu and you can think about adding some ram.

If I can get away with just a new gpu Id do it, but not sure if the cpu is near death too

realistically you could probably not bother with the cpu as well. your gpu died earlyish imo. they can last a long time cpus can last 8-10 years if you dont abuse it..

There are no tests to really tell you this. If there is an existing problem with it, stress testing will reveal it. but if theres no problems, there is no way to gauge how soon you will have problems.
You won't need to replace the thermal paste unless you're seeing heat issues. (which speccy or any other temp monitor program will tell you).

In your instance, if you do not wish to upgrade the CPU unless you have to, I would just run it until you are planning on buying a real upgrade. I.e a new processor/board set altogether.
