so i found out my monitor is a older model and doesnt have hdmi port. its dvi-d. the motherboard in my computer i bought has hdmi only, but the video card has dvi-d port.

My question is, will my dvi-d monitor hook up through video card or motherboard? i really dono computers lol.

You will need to hook it up to your video card anyways. The motherboard one is for the onboard graphic(in the cpu)
