Looking at this one currently

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HHCA1IO/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2QUEEJQKR34UJ&coliid=I3IZA5E07MWMOE&psc=1

There are 2 other versions just on this one not including the dozens of other 1070s

Is there anything I need to make sure of when I select a 1070 eg compatibility with current hardware?

Thanks.

Naw, they will all be compatible, if any of them are. :)

/e Just make sure your power supply has the PCI-E power cords you need.
Length of card, and length of card that will fit in your case.

So how do I tell which is the best card? In the one I linked there are 3 cards at 400-430-450 but I'm struggling to figure out what the differences between them are.

I like EVGA. A lot of folks like the ASUS Strix.
Just don't get a Founder's Edition.

Asus strix might be the best one of the "normal" priced ones.

However, if a deal is available you might wanna consider msi gaming, evga sc/ftw and gigabyte g1.

I have the Zotac 1070 Amp and it works great. It runs cool and is very quiet.
