An ideal mid-level build would cost $1166.43 in Canada without a monitor, keyboard, etc. If you could save a bit more I would suggest it.

It's just not possible to build a decent gaming PC for under 1,100 - 1,200 CAD (Without keyboard/monitor)
I'd either suggest buying used on Kijiji or saving for more budget.

If I bumped my budget up to $1200 with a monitor would that help? I've tried looking for used and can't seem to find any good ones other than the ones I've listed.

Thing is, a decent mid-level PC costs $1000-$1200. A monitor that doesn't suck is another $200ish.

I'm not saying this isn't doable, but it might take some less than ideal choices for things like RAM, PSU, etc.

Ugh, is there a decent laptop for around $1200 or less that I could use for gaming? Someone sent me these

Not sure if there any good. I'm in need of something pretty quick as my s.o and I have recently split and she took my computer and I need one to do work at home and would like to be able to run games.

Case of your choice + Keyboard of your choice.
Can add an SSD for faster boot time + Game load time

You can also go with a Gtx 950 for more budget friendly if you don't mind running game in medium gfx
