Budget: ~1200 willing to expand for good 4k monitor
More specific use (what games, what programs): FPS's, RPG's, No Man's Sky, Recore etc, prefer on high settings or max
Planned time until purchase: ASAP
Do you need an Operating System?: No
Do you have any specific preferred components?: Intel, black/white only. Corsair 760t case
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: No
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: OC in the future
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: Monitor
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): 98056

Here's a quick rundown of what I tried out. Not sure on what mobo or even what to look for in one. Also, open to options on anything to save money except the case.

That's a decent start build for sure.

The monitor is whats going to fuck you in the long run.

1440P is prolly going to be your sweet spot on a 1070 tho

And holy shitaki mushrooms that 4k is expensive. Not sure I wanna spend 1/2 my budget alone on that.

Should I just buy two cheaper 1080p's til the 4k drops in price?

That's only a 2K. :)

I couldn't even find a 4K 144Hz, with Gsync.

/e Found some nice 4K, 60 Hz. I dunno why, but Gsync (Nvidia) seems to cost a lot more than Freesync (AMD).

Is it worth the pretty penny? I might just run 2x 1080p's.. I've never had 2x monitors before haha

Here's all the 2K, 144Hz monitors...

...on the left side, scroll down and choose Gsync.

/e ASUS, Acer, BenQ.. are generally the best ones to look for.

...again, you have to sort for Gsync.

/eee Before you decide, I would look up w/e one you like on NewEgg or the manufacturer's site to see the pixel pitch. You want the pixel pitch .27 or less.
As for IPS you can always tell that by the viewing angle. IPS is 178/17 degrees viewing angle.

Sweet, checkin it all out now! Thank you :D

And when looking at your build for me, why did you change PSU's to a lower wattage but higher price? Also, is having one SSD better than having a boot and a HDD?
