My current build is above.
I also have an ssd with a mounting kit with it for the same size as a hdd.
My case is getting real old and the front panel is mostly broken.
I also have some noise issues with the PSU so I'm looking to upgrade that.

Please give me some suggestions for a new case (which fits the stuff) and a new psu.
Also, since I'm still running the R9 290, should I get a couple of fans? The heat is REAL (AMD bull shit). Or maybe I should just "upgrade" to a GTX?
Also, how hard will it be to transfer my gig into the new case?

Have you considered doing a full new build?
What are you currently using your PC for?
What would your budget be for the mentioned parts?
How hot does your card get when full load?

I have considered doing a new build but I don't know what to do with the old one. Also, this consideration has to do with "lets just do it for shits and giggles" because I can do all the things I need to do with the current setup just fine (the only hindrances being the now faulty case and the psu noise issues which requires my attention on average 0.9 times a day).
edit: This current build is 4 years old now with the exception of the GPU(2 years old).

I'm currently using my PC mostly for gaming (CSGO, Path of Exile, Guild Wars 2) and have no issues with running them.

My budget for the case would be 100$ and for the PSU 100$.

The card reaches the high 80s on full load. More recently (within the last 2 months and about 2 years after purchase of the card), I've experienced the following situation twice, where the computer automatically shuts itself down when it got too hot when I was going ham with it.

Edit: would be great if I could get the budget to be in CAD

Here...use your old hard drive and your SSD...

/e Or...just do this...

Use MSI Afterburner (free) to adjust the fan speed of your vid card. Blow the dust out of your vid card, then just install everything in this case.

Will probably skip out on the first link because that'll be out of my budget for a full build in CAD.

So in response to the second link: Why the CPU cooler?
Thanks for the suggestion of the PSU and Case, I'll look them up on CAD and check it out.

What do you guys think about
http://www.newegg.ca/Special/ShellShocker.aspx?cm_sp=Homepage_SS-_-P2_11-147-158-_-08052016&Index=2
It's a full tower but it has a nice deal on it and it comes with many fans.
I'm only asking because this is 50% off and is near my budget

shitty quality case for $110.

you should get a 850w b2 PSU for ~$100 and never worry about getting a new psu.
Spend rest on nzxt s340 or define s http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/NbbYD3

otherwise, http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/vk98TW/bitfenix-case-bfxnov100kkwskrp
decent quality case, wont fit all CPU coolers, but it's literally the best quality you can get for that cheap in Canada.

but i would strongly recommend you save up more and get a whole new build altogether, and just re use the 290.

...and your motherboard will not work in that case.

The case I picked however, WILL take a microATX motherboard. :)

Thanks for the recommendation but I think it's fine to go with a cheaper psu and case like the ones Ghot suggested. I probably think this way because I think I'll end up building a new rig in 2-3 years anyway but I don't want my time from now to that point in time to be dissatisfied with my current psu and case. I mean, why not build a new rig now? I guess I really don't need one atm for the reason of computing/gpu power.

edit: got a predicament
Ghot suggested
EVGA SuperNOVA GS 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/h3FXsY/evga-power-supply-220gs0650v1 which is 149.99 -> 119.99 (sale) on newegg Canada

And Secksii suggested
EVGA 850W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply
https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/29xfrH/evga-power-supply-110b20850v1 which is 159.99 -> 119.99 (sale) on newegg Canada

I'm not sure which one to pick? What's the difference between fully-modular and not? If it's not worth explaining I'll look it up later. But which one do I pick? Same price xD

Will probably order from newegg since I'm getting the "Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-03 Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case" as Ghot suggested.

fully and semi modular are pretty much the same shit, just means the psu cables are detachable. So whatever cables you don't need, nn to have it dangle. Makes the build more neat, and better airflow since less things get in the way.
so fully means all cables are detachable, semi means all but 1 thick line that you need 100% of the time isn't detachable. non modular means none of the cables are detachable.

The GS model is made by seasonic, and gold efficiency but it's 650W so if you plan to crossfire/sli in the future, OC with a new build you may have to upgrade to a new PSU. No one knows the future, but if there happens to be some sort of badass CPU and/or GPU that uses a lot of power you may need to upgrade for more wattage. Kinda like few years ago, most people got 450-500w but now 550-650 is the norm spot.
The B2 model is made by superflower, and bronze efficiency but it's well made enough to perform close to silver efficiency. It's 850W so you won't have to worry about purchasing a new PSU in the future, at least for a really long time lol.

Quality wise, they're both godlike and both provide evga customer service so you can't go wrong with either one.

tl;dr if you are never going to overclock, or crossfire/sli etc. in the future, 650 is good, otherwise 850.

88r is a nice case for matx builds, only downside in the future would be restricting some of the CPU coolers and would have to purchase micro atx mobo's
