•Budget: $1300-1400
•More specific use (what games, what programs): Gaming
•Planned time until purchase: Immediately
•Do you need an Operating System?: No
•Do you have any specific preferred components?: No
•Do you need a sound or wireless card?: No
•Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: small overclock

This is what I currently have in mind: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/Rk3Jbj

My main questions are surrounding the mobo, CPU cooler, and RAM.

Haven't been around for a while.

Can anyone let me know if this combo on the ebay is good? Seems like a really solid price. Not sure about mobo though.

Your main question should have surrounded that PSU. :P
The nex series by evga is actually bad.
http://pcpartpicker.com/list/JNChgL

That's not really my first choice for a cooler.
water coolers like that are primarily for looks, because they are generally outperformed by air coolers at lower noise levels.
So if you just want the looks, then I don't have any further suggestions on that.

@ your combo.
whats the price?
If its close to 400 then its a good deal.
You can find 6700k for 310 on deal prices regularly and that mobo only runs for 115 bucks on the regular. (or less if you dont pay tax on amazon) so it would really only be worth it as a "combo price" around there. otherwise you're just paying regular prices.

The combo is $400 even. I have no issue going with an air cooler. I currently have an H50 in my setup and have had nothing but luck with it. That is just why I was drawn towards the liquid cooler. Which cooler would you recommend?

Thank you for the reply!
I have no problem finding another PSU. That is definitely the kind of feedback I am looking for. Thanks a ton! Any recommendations in this price range? Any other comments on the build?

Just found the deal, and yeah i would say its a worthy deal, then you don't have to wait for a separate deal on the 6700k for 300-310. they are somewhat common, but you'd still have to wait around and be lucky.
As for air cooler if you dont want anything fancy you cannot go wrong with the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. It's an amazing cooler for the money, but the looks are bland.

if you want a little style and a slightly better cooler then this one will fit the bill imo

otherwise i primarily chose that on looks, though it also does out perform the evo, but not by a large margin or anything.

Last i will say is if you choose the evo, ignore PC partpickers warning, as it will fit the spec 01 case. PCPP will tell you its too large.

After reading up on a the mobo a bit I think I am gunna hold off. I do see the 6700k from the same seller for 309. Probably going to pull the trigger on that today and wait for a better mobo.

As far as coolers, I much prefer the look of the closed loop but if the others outperform it I have no problem getting those instead. Especially considering the 212 is a bit cheaper.

I kinda have my eye on this one with a push/pull on it. Got really good reviews on amazon.

who cares about amazon reviews use reviews that stack up against other cpu coolers theres a few out there and by the looks of it, its descent to each of their own

Which site do you use mostly for comparisons?

After a quick google search seems that many prefer the H7 over the 212
