you're joking right? A tempered glass desk will not shatter lol, and if it does you are doing something REALLY wrong lol.

I myself prefer a glass desk over a wood one(unless you find an old school solid wood desk on craigslist, no shitty particle board desks) I got an amazing solid wood desk, must have been about 75 years old off CL for $50, shame I couldn't keep it when I moved, was a nice piece of furniture.
