Hey Folks. I am soon gonna have quite some money since I start working and want to upgrade my current Rig or create a new one - whatever is worth more over time in your opinions.

So here's what I currently have:
AMD Fx 8350 @4GHz with a CNPS7X as CPU Cooler
GTX 750 Ti TwinFrozr (was on a short budget, but it's doing fine with this one so far) >> would be first to upgrade I guess?
16GB DDR3
250GB SSD (Samsung 850 Evo)
1 TB HDD Seagate
ASRock 970 Extreme4 Mobo
I know this setup is not optimal, was bought off a mate who had some random stuff cheap when my old Rig died...

Now the question is if this Rig is worth upgrading or if I should go for a rather complete new build?
Mainly use it for Gaming (mostly only Blizzard Games so far)

E: would like to play 1440p later, though I will be trapt with 1080p for this year at least.

Depends on how much money you wanna invest.

But IPC on FX8350 is sooo bad. I would go skylake K, DDR4 16GB, Z170 with a gtx 1060 or 1070.
Keep your 850evo and seagate 1TB OFC. Maybe your case as well, depends.

You should be able to sell your FX8350, 750ti, asrock 970 and the 16GB RAM for a reasonable price.

You could do a cheaper upgrade with like a used hashwell K cpu + z97 mobo. And use your current DDR3 ram. and maybe a used 970-980ti.

watch the different on just the CPU in gaming (Farcry 4 45fps FX8350 vs 77fps 6600k

looks pretty decent if u mostly play blizz games. I'd upgrade the GPU if u want any upgrades.
intel is preferred for blizz games cuz they're more cpu dependent, but its not worth getting new cpu, mobo, rams etc. basically a new build for that reason.
Just save up more for the future when you plan on expanding to play more demanding games imo
