Gaming and VR laptop

Budget: $4,000+
More specific use (what games, what programs): VR-capable and 4K gaming
Planned time until purchase: will wait as long as needed
Do you have any specific preferred components?: I was looking at waiting to get a GTX 1080 single or SLi setup
Do you need a bigger monitor? mouse? full keyboard?: +17" 4K screen, fancy lights are always welcome.
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): denver, CO

Need this laptop to be future-proof, hardware wise, for atleast +5 years

I also was wondering what kind of hardware I would need to have my desktop and laptop hooked up to a single monitor, looking at getting a docking station and an HDMI switch if that would work. Currently looking at getting a 4K gaming monitor in addition, so wanted to know what you guys would recommend for this as well.

Thanks a bunch and let me know if you need anything other information. I would like to get a couple price points, but budget is not really a factor.

Is there a single GTX 1080 version thats gonna come out? Looking for a price point around 4,000 and 4,500 and 5,00, then of course the 6,000 Asus ROG GX800. When do you think that some competitor's will come out with their own model's?

Edit: I'm also wonddering about some laptop accessories too. Which ones are recommended as a "need to have?"
