Just bought this pc off of ebay ($220 +$25 shipping):

Intel i5-2500K
16GB (4 x 4 GB) DDR3
MSI Z68A-GD55 mobo
OCZ Agility 3 60 GB SSD
WesternDigital 3 TB hard drive
LG BR/DVD+-RW recorder
EVGA GeForce GT 430
Antec Neo ECO 620W power supply
Zalman CPU cooler
Windows 10 pro

Going to use it as is for a lil bit but should I get one of the new AMD gpu's or something cheaper?

I just don't know if it's worth spending that much on a gpu for a $200 pc

Actually 2500k is still pretty decent. OC it to like 4.5ghz & You'll be fine with a new GPU.

Why upgrade it at all if you're not even willing to put a $200 gpu in it? Upgrading almost isn't even worth it if you're not.

Well i don't think it's about the money I think it's about the performance. the 2500k can handle a GPU of that power, so it makes sense to use one since it is not particularly expensive and of really good performance.

Would the cooler that comes with it even be good enough to overclock with? (Zalman model # CNPS7000V(AL)-I-PWM) It's like an $11 fan

Probably not too well. Do you happen to know what ...Case...the computer is housed in?

/e There are a few cheap coolers that WILL allow you to overclock fairly well, but I need to know what case you have.

Like this one for instance...but it requires 6.3 inches from the top of the CPU to the inside of the left case panel. Well 6.5 inches to be safe. :)
