Hi, it's been a couple of years since I built my last pc, and I don't quite have time to get clued up on all the new hardware releases (sandybridge had just been released when I build mine), so hopefully you guys can throw together something for me.

If you're willing to help me out, I need you to use this site (they have a great finance option): https://www.scan.co.uk

Budget: ~£1500
Use: Gaming (battlefield 1 when released, want to play on ultra settings)
Time until purchase: within the next 2 weeks
OS: none
Preferred components: I'd like a fairly compact kind of case, but I don't know if this is feasible with a high-performance pc. I'd also like a GTX 1070 or 980ti so I'll have the option to SLI in the future, but again I don't know if this is feasible in a smaller case. I want a modular PSU too.
I don't plan on overclocking
I need monitor (preferably with inbuilt speakers but not at the expense of quality) and keyboard, don't need a mouse

Thanks, 20fg goes to the setup I end up choosing :)

The GTX 1070 in the basket (just as a placeholder), is not the one I would recommend...it was just: In Stock

/e YOU need to pick the monitor and keyboard.

Check out the G.Skill DDR4 3000mhz ram, They come @ 15-15-15 timings instead of the 15-17-17 of the corsair ghot linked. And i think it should be a little cheaper too, Not sure since its Europe prices..

I tried for Gskill first. Seems that site, has some kind of deal with Corsair.

I prefer this case, will I be able to install that CPU cooler in this one?

Also, I'm thinking I might just take the plunge and get the 1080...will the rest of this build bottleneck a 1080 at all?
