Since i have very little idea with what i'm doing, i just gathered stuff from other people's builds and threw it all together. How bad is this and what can be done to better the build?

Sell your current computer for 350-450 and add it to your budget. $1200 is easy to work with allowing you to have a good computer that will last 5-10 years.

Do you think the cpu cooler you suggested will fit in my case? I've read some reviews saying it can have issues with mid towers, which my case is.
