Bare with me as I'm not very knowledgeable in this subject which is why I turned here.

Budget: Preferably in the $500-600 range but a little flexible

More specific use: Everyday use, web browsing, movies, music, storage, minor gaming such as d2, poe, and lol. Not looking to play new games that would require high specs. I'm mainly a console gamer this is more so for playing some games at work.

Planned time until purchase: Anytime no rush

Do you have any specific preferred components?: I don't know much in this subject but would like atleast i5, 1 tb storage, 4 gig of ram, backlit keyboard, possibly Bluetooth but not needed

Do you need a bigger monitor? mouse? full keyboard?: No

Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): California United States -90731

Additional info: I'm sure like any computer owner looking for reliability, and a product that is going to last a few years. My old laptop was HP and lasted around 5 years. Want windows OS, hopefully can come with Microsoft Office as I will need this. Product decent size easy to travel with. Not sure what is the best place to purhase laptop nowadays?

Thanks for reading :)

Haha well like 4 years. I used the hell out of it. Other than general slowdown over the years the only problem I had with it is the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I would let my roommate at school use it on the weekends while I was gone and he pretty much fried it lol.

Overall I took pretty good care of it so I wouldn't mind getting another HP.

Looks pretty sweet man, thanks. From what I've gathered before making this topic from new egg and amazon, the ASUS Laptops seem to give you a lot for their dollar

Right?! They keep on going! I'll check into those newer brand hps as well.
