Looking to upgrade now that Overwatch is out, and I'm not satisfied with how my current setup performs while playing it.

Current cpu is AMD FX-6300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-PCPartPicker,%20LLC-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=3938566&SID=
Current gpu is MSI Radeon HD 7770 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127687
Current mobo is ASRock 970 Extreme http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157262&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleKWLess&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleKWLess-_-DSA-_-CategoryPages-_-NA&gclid=CjwKEAjwg6W6BRDn6v__7vzN9QkSJAC9l9C3t9l2buUdy06Zx9ALIbcOKrGVXKVajsxrnDOrqrCnEBoCvznw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Been looking in to getting the AMD FX-8350 https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-19-113-284

Not sure what my best option would be for my gpu. Looking to spend $200-250 max on it

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just overclock the 6300 to 4Ghz and then get the GTX 1070. :)

$200-250 isnt worth upgrading cpu from a 6300.

A ) If you dont have an SSD, get this:

B ) If you already have an SSD, get this, and overclock your cpu:

C ) If you can go over your budget a little bit and you dont have SSD, get all 3 parts for a major upgrade.

I do have a SSD and cpu is overclocked. I like both suggestions so far, but keep them coming

Upgrading you CPU from fx-6300 to fx-8350 will give you small to none performance boost in majority of games.
Would have been a horrible use of money for upgrading gaming wise.

You won't afford the gtx 1070. So your best choice currently is waiting for polaris
or: stretch your budget 30$ for: https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-14-127-841

otherwise
200$ r9 380 https://www.neweggbusiness.com/product/product.aspx?item=9b-14-127-876

edit: Damnit been looking at benchmarks for to long! Vouch FedOx

Then just get the 380 and your good, nothing else to upgrade for that money.. unless maybe 8gb more of ram if you got only 8, but its not anything major you will notice.

Trust me, I can afford it lol. I'm just not looking to overspend if I don't have to.
