The gtx 980 should be in the same price range as a GTX 1070. 650$ Canada US.
But if you are making this machine over 3 months. You might as well see what AMD brings with their Polaris series.

I would use that carbide 100r, its an okay case, just make sure you have one intake fan on the front and one outtake on the back.
You should use the WD 1TB for storage.
