GPU - AMD Radeon R9 200 Series
MOBO - M5A97 R2.0

looking to improve CPU any suggestions on what to get ?

well shit i just answered this by myself.

Need to either find a better AMD cpu or buy a new mobo with intel socket

I know we were in your other thread and i think we answered your cpu question. Overclock it or just wait for the new processors later this year

But for gaming, the biggest thing is your GPU
If you are using an R9 280, I would upgrade when the new gpu's come out at the end of the month. Either a Gtx 1070 or something like amd's R9 480 if that comes out (it hasnt officially been named, I do not think).
But ultimately we do need your budget, and you really should be waiting for a few more weeks to see the new card options, as they are going to be significant improvements.
