That is not out of necessity. Was going to go 16 but saw 32 was not much more so figured why not lol. Might still go 16

:)

It's probably one of the #1 recommended boards here for Z170 (Skylake)

I myself listened to those recommendations and spent a little more than I wanted to, but it's all worth it, love this mobo

broadwell e soon new mobos for broadwell e and gtx 1070 and 1080

and for budget amd will launch polaris so good thing you are waiting

broadwell e 6800k wich is the cheapest 1 is 6 core and will cost around same as i7 6700k

so just wait and your build will last you for at least 2-3 years easy peasy

if they launch 1080 the ti will com either end of this year or begining of the next and new gpus prob 2 years from now so its a future proof buy

Broadwell-E is using X99 chipset, so they won't be making new boards any time soon and just updating BIOS on the existing. You may see some refresh of boards like V2 or some shit but not completely new boards.

i know they use x99 mobos but theres new mobos coming out

http://www.pcgamer.com/asus-expands-arsenal-of-x99-motherboards-for-broadwell-e/

gigabyte will launch some also

so if i were him i would buy the new mobos instead of old x99

new tech always better then old tech + when a new cpu launches new mobos fallow all the time its just how it is

computex is where everyone claims broadwell-e and mobos and other stuff will be announced / launched so yeah lets just wait till june ends before building anything

The ASUS Z170-A is good.

The Asus MAXIMUS VIII HERO is better.
