have about 1600-2000 USD to spend. maybe little more i havent figured out what i want.

i dont need SSD's since a friend of mine was sent 3 too many samsung pro's so he gave me 2.


having a hard time choosing what i want. heres a quick run down on what i'd like

White/Stainless steel look

Nvidia graphics card(s)


must be able to run PoE on all high settings.


some of the new current games on high/ultra settings.


any help would be much appreciated!

Well with your budget you can get a i7 6700k as well as a 980ti.
Unless you have a 1440p monitor this might be quite overkill but its still going to work well.

As for the case you have to choose one yourself, as this is more a matter of taste rather then any technical details. I am a big fan of the Air 540, but you need to find the one you like the best.
If you have a 4k monitor you could add a second 980 ti later, after pascal release, as it will very likely drop in price quite significantly.

wait gpu conference april 4-7 they will be showing pascal gpu

and since amd announced polaris to be launched before school year starts nvidia will launch at the same time so you will have a better gpu if you wait 2-3 months basicly

and new broadwell-e cpu will be shown in june
