so all i have currently is a laptop and want to get back into gaming on PC as im tired of consoles, go figure.

Budget: $500
More specific use (what games, what programs): D2, League of Legends, CSGO, The Divison, pretty much want to get into Steam games.
Planned time until purchase: n/a - soon within the next month preferably so i can play more than D2 and LoL
Do you need an Operating System?: yes -windows 10
Do you have any specific preferred components?: n/a
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: dont know much about these
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: dont know much, but want to do more than stock cooling and probably overclocking
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: yes but dont need to be included in the $500 portion of the budget, want to spend 500ish on my actual build
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): pennsylvania

is this doable with the type of games i want to play?
im not completely ignorant when it comes to this, but i could use advice. i was trying to put together my own build based on research i was doing and it came out to around $850 which isnt too bad but being that im impatient and want to get set up asap i feel like i could get a much cheaper build to play the games i will play.
this is the stuff i had looked at earlier:

PC Build

CPU: intel core i5 4590- $200 or intel i5 6600k skylake $250

MOTHERBOARD: ASRock H97M Anniversary Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard - $70
MSI Z97-Gaming 5 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard- $140

MEMORY: corsair vengeance 2x 4gb ram ddr3 - $72 for 16gb ram (2x 8gb sticks)
g.skill ripjaws x series 16gb ram (2 8gb) -$66

STORAGE-Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM -$50

VIDEO CARD: XFX Radeon R9 390 8GB -$330

POWER SUPPLY: EVGA 750 80+ Bronze - $70

CASE: (get mid tower case) cooler master HAF 912 ATX- $50

so what im really wanting to know is, can i get a setup around 400-500 to play the games mentioned or should i wait until i have the funds to set up a better build like the one above? sorry post is all over the place

As you can see a i5 and a r9 390 would already be over your budget leaving nothing for all the other components. If you want to play current games at decent settings @1080p then you need to invest like 700-900 dollar. For 500 you could maybe build something with an i3 and a gtx 950/r7 370 but you wont enjoy titles like "The Division".
With your budget you might want to look into used / refurbished computers. You can sometimes find quite good deals, but you have to check yourself if the parts are in a good condition.

You can get a setup for 500 that will run it no problem. but you will not get a setup like the one you posted for 500 dollars.
This is what you can do for 500, after rebates

This will run division on low settings and gives you the latest intel chip

This will probably run it better, but you have the 8300, so your next cpu upgrade would be sooner and require mobo/ram change.

Save your money and buy a nicer build. You'll be playing division at low frames without a decent gpu
