Hello readers! :)

Gaming, Photoshop/CAD, Video Editing, sound design

Budget: €550,- (give or take)
More specific use (what games, what programs): league of legends, prefer to play new shooters on nice quality with good fps
Planned time until purchase: a.s.a.p. (within now and 2 weeks)
Do you need an Operating System?: no
Do you have any specific preferred components?: no
Do you need a sound or wireless card?: it would be a bonus to get a average/good sound card (or atleast that I have the ability to upgrade later, computer performance is more important for me, so the soundcard is out of the budget)
Do you want stock cooling or do you plan on overclocking?: basically I want my computer to go for many years and I want to be able to play the games I want in nice graphics now, maybe in 2-3 years that I can still play the latest games in good fps but not as good graphics!
Do you need a monitor? mouse? keyboard?: I will look for a mouse/keyboard myself.
Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): Alkmaar, The Netherlands

Basically my PC right now is alright, yet the graphics card sucks and my computer freezes alot for a few seconds, and after playing a league of legends game it will just be stuck on a black screen for 5 minutes. (it freezes in almost every use, it used to freeze in my internet browers which is not really happening anymore so it seems, it never freezed while streaming/playing a video, and it does not freeze when I use a sounddesign program. I could maybe use some of the parts of the PC I have now, except they are about 4 years old so I would really like to know if these parts are still reusable, or just get a new one.

what I have now (I got a graphics card from my friend, since the one I bought broke after a short period):

1 x Nvidia GeForce 9600 GT
1 x AMD X4 II640 AM3 3000 BOX 2MB
1 x be quiet! Pure Power BQT L7 630W ATX23
1 x MS-Tech CA-0200 bl ATX
1 x Asro 785GM-S3 785G RGVSM
1 x Hita 500GB HDS721050CLA362 7K1000.C SA2
1 x D3 8GB 1333-999 Premier 256 K2 ADA

Also have another HDD, I don't know which one.

I guess I am looking for something similar as I bought the last time but updated performance, unless you can advice me otherwise.

I am considering to buy a 2nd handed one, preferrably with warranty, but for me it's a bit tricky to find a good buy that won't stop working after a short time.

Would be awesome if you could help me! Forum gold is available!

Thank you for reading!

€550 is REALLY small budget to build a pc, anything that you will build wont be much greater than what you already have.

My advice is, use the money to upgrade your current pc with a new graphics card and an ssd.

Thanks for the advice, I don't know what is broken in my PC though, and if one component breaks can it harm any other components? Oh and I've bought this computer for about €500 four years ago, the logical thing would seem that 4 years later for the same price you would get a decent upgrade? Seeing as they advance and produce new products.

Use the money to upgrade your GPU first. That CPU actually isn't too bad for a budget build. AutoCAD eats tons of memory so you could get 16GB AMD would help in that and PS.

I'm guessing Germany but reuse your case and disk drives

You can get a computer just like the one you have now, but it will not be any major upgrade.
From no computer to your computer there is a big difference, but from your computer to another computer of the same range wont be a big difference worth the money even 4 years later.

You will get the most bang for the buck if you get a new and decent graphics card plus an ssd. And later you can still use these new parts when you decide to upgrade your cpu, motherboard and ram.

Thanks for the advice people! If the CPU isn't that bad, could I just get the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 4GB Video Card? The memory can wait if it is only nessecary for autocad/ 3d programs. And what is the importance of upgrade the motherboard?

Is getting an SSD important? If so should I just get Samsung 850 EVO 250GB and run my OS and games etc. on this SSD and put the rest of my files on my HDD?

Last but not least, I don't know where the freezing issues are coming from on my computer, should I ask on another subforum? Or can it be 100% fixed by replacing some of these parts?

Right now I'm basically thinking, if I can spare more money on this, I could just get a new mouse and headset and possibly a keyboard/ soundcard.

SSD have some performance gains but mostly in load speed or games that run a lot of textures off the drive.

Your current CPU is not all that bad. However, freezing issues could be caused by heat. Without knowing the circumstances it's hard to tell.
