I just got most of my new pc parts in i set it all up and it did boot up run everything fine but after i did my updates for windows 7 now when i restart and boot up it goes to the window screen then i get a black screen and some times it shuts off


my new parts http://cart.microcenter.com/cart.aspx my new bios version is 22.4

i have my same power supply 500 wat cooler master

pny ssd 480 gb

please any help is great :)

well then do a clean install. Since it worked before if is unlikely to be a hardware issue.

I agree. I would personally do a clean install and hope it works better from there.

500 watt psu :o

i would upgrade that asap.
unless its gold rated you're pushing the psu to it's limit and it's having an issue sustaining power, especially if you overclocked your CPU/GPU

You need a 800W PSU (or better) as the GPU's taking 100%+ from the current PSU you have.
