I will mostly be using this pc for gaming. No streaming or recording.
Budget: 1200-1300 (only on the pc itself, no monitor keyboard or mouse)
Games i''l be playing will be poe, d3, and dota 2.
would like to have this done within 2 weeks
Windows 7 is preffered
i'd like to stay away from any AMD products. SSD and HDD combo is a must
Sound card will be needed
If you suggest extra cooling I'm okay with that.
Im from Ontario Canada

Thanks in advance.

If your not willing to use a AMD grafics card then your pretty much stuck with the gtx 970. Since you budget is a little to tight for the 980ti and the regular 980 has a terrible price-performance-ratio. But this clears up room to get a decent looking case with awesome air flow, so that you dont have to use watercooling in order to overclock the i5 and you can go with a larger sized SSD which is very confortable.
But if you want to get the best performance possible for your budget i recommend going with a cheaper case and getting the AMD R9 390X.

Be carefull if you want to change the case, since the cooler i chose is larger then what many mid-tower cases can support.

okay.. my bad.
But you can still squize in the 970, but you have to go with a non-k cpu and do the stupid mail-in rebates xD

:\ just looked at maulepan's build, its pretty much the same :|

e/ doesnt make sense to drop $30 more for .1 of a ghz on cpu for difference between 6500/6600, and their build also didnt include an OS as you requested

Nice that we can agree on a build for once. But it is a .2 GHz difference :p

This is $160 over but an amazing system and so worth it.
-I definitely suggest getting a 6600K
-Motherboard I put in the MSI M5, it's currently on sale $60-70
It's a great motherboard, with great OC'ing and great onboard sound so no need to get a sound card. Definitely worth it.
-I put in 16GB of DDR4 3000Mhz memory.
-250GB SSD 850 Evo + 2TB Seagate Barracuda HDD
-Video card I put in the R9 380, it's not as good as the GTX 970, but it's $200 less and you get better performance per dollar spent.
For the game you are playing the R9 380 will crush them and it can easily handle almost everything at 1080p and some titles at 1440p.
With this system 3-5yrs from now all you will need to upgrade is your gfx and since your spending less then $300 on your gfx card it's not that big of a deal.
-For your case I put in the NZXT S340
-For your PSU I put in the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 750W Gold+ rated and fully modular.
-Windows 7 OEM key is included in total

This system is great for what you need now and great for what you will need in the future with only needing to upgrade 1 component of your system.

If you want to stay in budget

Also if you do plan to get a more powerful card, get the R9 390 instead of the GTX970
It's overall slightly better then the GTX970 and costs about the same or slightly less.

This is a good build, if you plan with going with this build just spend an extra $40 and get 16GB of ram as well.
