I'm looking towards buying a new computer (a laptop).
my current is a desktop 1.8ghz amd athlon 64 1024mb ddr from 2004.
This thing stopped work for cs 1.6 in 2010. So you could probably understand how bad shape it really is in now. Im running like 13fps in diablo2 lol.
the gfx card broke, think it was ati radeon 9800 pro 128. It melted 6years ago. And for my motherboard power supply etc The Best replacement i could find was some asus gfx card ive used since 2010.
but it runs on lower power supply than is recommended/required according to the gfx manuals. Also both soundcards stopped work. And i get blue screen when i open up a vlc file.

so yeah, i want to buy a fresh computer and get something good rather than spend $ upgrading when it is still junk after upgrading and $ spent..
and much worse than it was between 2004-2010. Even though reinstalling formating etc. Many times over.
and i just cant be bothered buy new ram motherboard cpu etc..

I have had an msi wind u160 notebook since 2011 for work and minor stuff like movies and browsing, writing, etc. But its network card stopped work recently.

None of them is capable anymore for what i used to do or want to do, really.

so i thought i could get some help.
I havent really followed the development in the computer sector, i just know that i5 and i7 was fresh and good some years ago.
So help is appreciated.

I am looking for something which is like 15-17" screen, Laptop.

Budget: absolute maximum 2500$ nn to pay more when manufacturers program shit to break down after 2years.

More specific use (what games, what programs):
diablo2, fps games (like battlefield 3, mirrors edge etc with high gfx settings), fighting games (street fighter iv and above in gfx), reason (music program),
fl studio xx with a load of vst plugins.. able to listen to xx tracks without first rendering the song in mp3 everytime... >_<
3d animation illustration CGI programs.
Movie editing programs such as adobe premiere, vegas video or similar.

probably gonna have to have good gfx card, lots of ram and cpu. Duh.. Since playback music without rendering it first compressed makes my cpu ram usage go to 100% atm.
also opening multiple windows in d2 slows everything down. At my current computer d2 takes like 50% when the process is running.
mozilla firefox takes like 1/4. Probably the soundcard matters alot also for making music, not only the ram, i guess?
So to summarize, best ram, gpu, cpu, soundcard, harddrive yeah everything really.

Gfx should at least not be worse than a ps3, at least.

Only thing i cared about when i bought the msi wind u160 was battery time. And while it did deliver on that, oboy it sucked on everything else xD
so i do not care about batterytime. I will probably not even use the battery, but an ac adapter everytime. And leave battery in the box. Will prob use separate keyboard mouse and monitor mostly..
i just want a laptop because i want to be able to move it around easily, and just bring the ac adapter and a mosepad+mouse. Not load up a cargo Everytime.

So help me find some movable multitasking monster.
whats the best bang for the buck? Also i do not care about aestetics.. i wanted alienware before, but ive grown up.
so i would rather choose an ugly hp which kicks ass, than an gucci case laptop which is as bad as the video games the nerd is reviewing.

Thx for help.

TL:DR

wants a laptop to...
open multiple d2 windows
play street fighter 5
Reason (music app)
FL studio xx (music rendering)
3D animation, CGI programs

wants to have...
15-17 screen

doesn't care about...
battery life

budget: $2,500
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
probably something like this
http://www.sagernotebook.com/customize.php?productid=817
980m
6700 OR 6700k
IC Diamond Thermal Compound
16GB OR 32GB Ram
256 SSD + 1TB HDD OR 1 TB SSD + 1 TB HDD
Intel Wireless Card

Those are the things I would change on it. The selection of which "OR" to take above depends on how often you use the rendering programs you mentioned, choose the 2nd option if you're looking at rending A LOT.

not much render = 980m/6700/IC Diamond TC/16GB RAM/256 SSD + 1TB HDD/Intel Card = $2,329.00
lots of render = 980m/6700k/IC Diamond TC/32GB RAM/1TB SSD + 1TB HDD/Intel Card = $2,744.00

of course you can do something in the middle of all that as well

Thx, more opinion?
Also not rly looking to build one since that is mostly in U.S you can do this.
More want to know what kind of ram ssd gfx cpu chipset i should have to do these tasks flawlessly.
again, batterytime can be 0hour.
i just want it to be a laptop (or a barebone with mountable screen)
So i can move it around easlily and plug it in and have it in the lap etc.

Yep.

The place where a 2099$ laptop at newegg actually cost 3716$ in stores

found this in amazon
MSI GT72S-6QEG16SR421BW 43,9 cm (17,3 Zoll) Notebook (Intel Core i7 -6820HK (Skylake), 16GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB HDD, 256GB SSD, NVIDIA Geforce GTX 980M, Win 10 Home) schwarz

Think the gfx card is 8gb. And i think chipset is cm236 not h170.
For 2787$..

Im thinking for this price, isn't it possible to get a desktop which is better than the laptop for all games and work tasks, AND a laptop for work tasks?

Like a 1800-2000$ desktop outperforming the laptop for 2787$ in everything.
and a laptop for 787-987$ which can handle d2, wc3ft and simpler games like cs source or 1.6 low settings 100fps, and videoediting/music making fl studio cubase ableton reason etc, well?
I mean editing movies isnt exactly same as playing battlefield3 on hihgest resolution. Since videoclips are compressed it is easier to work with with lower gpu.
but the music making i dno exactly what is necessary, ram, cache, cpu, external soundcard. I dont rly know enough about for example what fl studio needs to run playback an song with 32tracks without Compressing.
cant be gfx or gpu right?? Must be cpu and ram?

So a laptop with good enouh gfx for simplegames and juice for making music.
and a desktop for everything, could also be a solution For me, if it is possible. The msi laptops seems good but feels kind of like alienware (overpriced, you pay for design, brand, the cool led keyboard, the brand of the keyboard, not the juice within..)

I also looked at dell and hp, alienware etc. also was in xidax.
but i dont really want to order from U.S due to the hassle with warranty if something fails, ordered stuff from U.S before and got some stuff wrong (their fault) and didnt even bother contacting them but dropped them a bad rep. It is not like your gonna return something across the atlantic if it breaks u know.
and here where i live there are no builders for laptops, only desktops (which i could do myself).
so prefer premade suggestions.

Sorry for bad spelling and grammar, im on a samsung galaxy tab s since im kind of computerless xD
i have my faith in you guys (geeks), cuz the department store salesman never knows shit.
