I'm planning to buy 16gb of ram for my built and I see a lot of difference pricewise between 2400 and 3200 , this built is purely for gaming and I know that 16gb is more than enough so is it a waste to pay more for 3200 ?? and which company is the best ??

thx in advance from a noob in computer builds B)

3000 seems be the "sweet spot" between price and performance

you wouldn't see a benefit in either scenario for gaming i believe

As for company, RAM is RAM. Find the cheapest one with the same specs as long as it has a lifetime warranty.

aim for the best price/perf obviously.
higher speed, less cas, cheapest.

example, if 2400 cas 16 is $40, and 3000 cas 15 is $45 u obviously go for the later

I use 3200 G.Skill 16GB Trident Z.

Honestly I have to agree with Secksii. Depends on the price.

Pretty much Corsair Dominator Platinum, or GSkill Trident Z.

Both companies seem to have fewer RAM issues, over the long haul. :)

Gskill Ripjaw is perfectly fine and one of the best $/GB of ram to purchase.
RAM usually is faulty out of the box which you would just RMA (Plus you get lifetime warranty)

Cost is $85 compared to the TirdentZ which is $115.
TidentZ does have a CAS of 14 compared to the Ripjaws 15, but nothing you will ever notice yourself performance wise.
