so ive spent the last 6 months saving, ordering part by part, and building my rig (ive now spent just shy of $10,000.00 CAD on this). it does everything i want it to, performs better than i anticipated. I'm just curious as to what YOU would upgrade/ change? I know a lot of you would say why AMD? from my research it out performs intel when it comes to buffering and rendering for my purposes..

Ive overclocked the cpu from 3.5 to 4.5Ghz, it runs a stable idle temp of 23*c, extreme load temp of 48*c

list of things i do on my rig:

1. I compose music using cubase, fruity loops, band in a box, acid pro
2. I DJ/ kareoke using winamp(kareoke plugin), and pc ultimate dj
3. I do photo editing using corel paint shop pro, photoshop, illustrator
4. I do video editing using adobe elements, and pinnicale studio
5. I game; ladder slasher, hellgate london, d2, d3, WoW, LoL, starcraft
6. I watch movies through my home entertainment system

its a demanding list moreso for rendering, should i upgrade to the 8350? wait for "zen"?

should i maybe look into a standalone custom liquid loop? cpu, ram, nb/sb, & my 2 vid cards?

i would be really interested in where you got this information. That CPU is simply not worthy to be used in a 10000 dollar build.

In this setup you should really be looking into the high-end proessors from intel

initially i wasnt intending on spending more than 2k on my build.. so for that price bracket, the 8320 was part of the budget..

as blunts posted; the 5960x was an option at the time, but i cant see myself building the rig now, with soo much invested in the current..

the 5960x build i threw together 6 months ago :s ~~> http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/nNxGWZ

But most of your investment does not need to be replaced. You only need a new CPU, Main board and Ram. You did not invest much in your current build into these 3 parts.

why such an expensive main board? there are cheaper options if your concerned about the price.

if im going to drop $1500 on a cpu i may as well go all out and get top of the line, with best options for me..

Kinda weird choice of CPU. But yeah different tastes.

Benchmarks tho http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-vs-AMD-FX-8350/3502vs1489

And how come did you choose to get 4x4 GB of RAM 1866MHz?

Skylake would have been a better choice http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-6700K-vs-AMD-FX-8350/3502vs1489
Then you would have been able to get slighty better memory and M.2 60 Gb/s to get like samsung 950 pro with 2500 MB/s read speed.

And 3x 144hz monitors, thats just insane?!. You had been better of with a one rog swift in the middle and some IPS 1440p 60Hz for 2nd and 3rd monitor.

What case?
