Getting a new computer at work and my boss doesn't want to spend over 200 I'd say.

Don't need a HD in it, going to put a SSD in it.

I found like an Intel i5 with 8 gb RAM. Which is probably what I am going with.

Unless anyone knows of one that is better :)

If I had to build my own computer it'd probably well exceed the 200 budget. =/

USB 3.0 ports would be nice too, but not needed.

It's this one but did find one for 180 with S/h included.

Dell OptiPlex 990 MT intel Quad Core i5 2400 3.10 GHz 8GB DDR3 Ram DVDRW NO HDD

Won't let me link an e-bay listing.

I'll check the list out.

E: They are all a bit out of the price range. I don't need a HDD since that's only added money I won't use.

So ebay is probably my best option. One that doesn't have the included HDD.

what do you need an i5 for? For regular office work a Pentium processor is all you need.

I normally have like 5 browsers up, a few e-mail addresses I keep an eye on, and then the main system we run.

An i5 would be ideal, with the 8 gigs of ram. Right now I have some really old crappy AMD I believe. 4 gig ram.

5 borwser tabs and e-mail accounts hardly put any stress on the cpu. They only increase the amount of RAM used. And as long as your main system does not use more then 2 threads you would be fine with a pentium.

EDIT: I just tested 20 browers tabs + 2 youtube videos at the same time + 5 IRC chats use about 13% of my i5 3230M (this is a dual core processor)

All I know is the program we use at work is so fucking slow with my computer. Even my browsers have trouble when I go on certain places it just freezes.

Really sucks.
