Hi I think the usb ports on my asrock z77 extreme4 are dying on me. The sound device and keyboard connected to them stop working intermittently and sometimes I have to restart about 20 times just for the sound device to work, even when I try switching the usb ports. Tested both my sound device and keyboard on another computer and they work fine so I assume it's a mobo problem. Can you guys suggest another mobo hopefully not another asus because I seem to have read that usb port problems aren't particularly rare on their mobos. I'd just like one the same size so I don't have to switch anything else out and I just have to do a fresh install. Thanks!

Using an i5 3570k
radeon 7870
8gb ddr3 ripjaws 2133
corsair rm 750 psu
840evo 120gb sata3 ssd
seagate 1tb hdd

Well it could also be a driver or Windows issue as well.

Mine too. Win 7 x64 and ASUS mobo....and I don't even have a case that supports the USB 3.0 that my motherboard supports.

Okay I reinstalled my usb drivers and it seems to be working but then the audio stutters whenever I open a new tab or open a game like csgo/dota and sometimes it just stops completely and I have to restart/refresh whatever audio program I was using. Any ideas on that?
Yeah the audio just completely stops working if I even join or obs a game of cs/dota and sometimes for no apparent reason with nothing else open.

What audio?

Headphones, speakers, monitor speakers, 3.5mm, USB ??

/e ....it would really help to have a screenshot of Device Manager, with VIEW > Show Hidden Devices...check marked, and a Speccy screenshot.

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download ...get the FREE version from the: Piriform Link ...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility....simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

Just a random device that changes digital audio signals into analog.

Well try your speakers in the motherboard jack(s). Maybe your DAC or it's drivers are the issue?
