Looking to see some other opinions on a laptop there is no real time constraint so deals and such are welcome but not needed.

Budget: 2200 U.S.

More specific use (what games, what programs): Fallout 4 / recent titles

Planned time until purchase: N/A

Do you have any specific preferred components?: N/A

Do you need a bigger monitor? mouse? full keyboard?: No. (although 980m is prefered)

Zip code/location? (Shipping costs): N/A

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

A very good friend has this as his daily driver and gaming laptop. It is phenomenal.

Yea one of my friends has this currently and he likes it as well I was actually looking at this one the other day. I don't know a whole lot about this sort of stuff but if it had the 980m 8gb instead what would be the major difference?

About $600 in price.....

There's really no difference in benchmarks between the 2. He was going to go with the other but for the price it didn't justify it.

I also found this as on sale and was wondering if there would be any major drawbacks to purchasing.

It's not stocked and sold by Newegg. Any problems you might have would be with the company that is supplying it.
