So I had someone sending me an i7, motherboard, and ram... Welll a month later and it isn't here with no sign it is even sent. I only have 100$ left for a mobo and cpu now. Ram will be bought next.

I currently have a corsair hx640 psu which is from an old rig, a corsair ssd which I bought thinking this guy was going to send me the stuff. Well that wasted 60$ of the potential budget I did have. I would have bought a raptor for 10$ if I knew he wasn't going to get me my stuff.

Ok so new or used I am looking for some options for motherboard and cpu. It is strictly for playing path of exile which run's a lot off cpu and HD(which is why I bought the ssd)

I am looking for someone who has some free time to help me find an amazing deal on the bay or craigslist orlando area. I need a mobo and cpu capable of running POE pretty well.

What are the best options for this? It seems I can afford a first/second gen i5/i7 Possibly a 3rd gen if I can get one on ebay at the right price.

What other processor options are there with similar performance and in my price range. I can probably bump my price up to 150 or so, but would have to buy lesser performing ram.

Also what would be the best ram choice for sub 50$ atleast 8 gigs. I would love to get 16 gigs as poe is ram, cpu, hd dependent.. Really appreciate any help here. It is for my nephew. I got him a xbox one and the fucker played it like 2 times lol. Hoping a path of exile will keep him into gaming a bit more.

Pretty sure you can get away with a Pentium G4400 and misc H110 board for ~$100, then drop ~$40 on 8gb ram.

I was browsing ebay and I found a decent rig, that has a third gen i5 a micro atx mobo that would accept my r9 270x. Would you be able to tell me if this shit would be worth it if I can get it for sub 200$. I also need a monitor and it actually comes with one I was about to buy the other day.

What it includes the following:Decisively I would just like a run down of what is exactly included.
-Case Yes included with a new Antec VP450 450Watts of power
-Motherboard - Yes included - ASRock H61M-VG3
-CPU - Yes included - I5-3330 @ 3.00ghz
-Ram - Yes included - Super Talent W1600UB8GS - 1 modual (8G/512x8)
-Hard Drive (Yes Both Drives included) -Boot Drive = Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 360gb SN: 6QF2ZW0E; ST3360320AS; Storage Drive; WD 1.5TB S/N:WMSVU0382443; MDL# WD15EADS00P8B0
-Monitor - Yes Included - LCD H236HL
-BluRay RW - Yes Included
-PSU - Yes new power is included
-Keyboard(which kind) - Yes Included- Acer 6511 PS2
-Mouse(which kind) - Yes included New OON USB mouse

My idea is to use only the mobo, cpu, monitor, and one hard drive as a storage drive, then maybe find a cheaper mobo cpu and resell whats left and recoup most of the money I spend. I figure any decent running tower should be able to get me atleast 50-75$, which I would then use to buy better ram.

Idk but Custom Built like yourself or paying a store to put together is WWAY cheaper and Better then Pre built like Pre-Built pc for 3k would be like 1.5k Custom Built Roughly that Price unless u got a monitor mine was 500$ Plus so More or Less that Rough Price Range, But Good Luck Man.

it's not really a pre built, it is just someones old prebuilt that has a few parts I need to finish my budget build for a nephew. And it just so happens to have the monitor I was going to buy for 150 anyway. So if I can get a decent tower that I can use a few parts from and the monitor I want for half the price of just the monitor I am all for it.

I have been building my own pc's since I was 9 years old. I know what I am doing lol.

And I am strapped for cash because I am caring for my father as he goes through chemo and radiation.

I start my new job starting at 30 an hour in like 2 months, along with selling my house. So in 2 months money will be no issue at all. It is just right now I am paying for this used gaming rig for my nephew with money I earned playing Path of Exile.
